John Cena, Cody Rhodes headline Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas
Jordan Mendoza breaks down all the exciting matches to expect from Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas.
Being part of WrestleMania is one of the greatest honors in wrestling. But who will be having their WrestleMania moment this year?
WWE WrestleMania 41 is days away from taking place in Las Vegas, and with the match card for the two-day event pretty much wrapped up, it’s time to predict what will happen inside Allegiant Stadium. Not only could a win at WrestleMania be a career-defining moment, but it can drastically alter the course of the company. We saw it last year and it won’t be any different in 2025.
With matches like Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena, the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins, as well as Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair, there are major ramifications in store this year. What will happen at WrestleMania 41?
Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano prediction
Will the “newest” luchador make a big splash at WrestleMania? Mysterio is looking for his third straight WrestleMania victory, and he’s had success against Chad Gable − even though he apparently isn’t El Grande Americano. The match is bound to have interference with The LWO and American Made, but it ends with Mysterio on top and exposing El Grande Americano is, in fact, Gable. Winner: Rey Mysterio.
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi prediction
This has been a really underrated feud given the distaste Cargill and Naomi have for each other. Naomi is really an underdog in this match but don’t be surprised to see her pull out some tricks on her opponent. Still, Cargill has is someone WWE hopes to become a main event talent. She takes care of business and sets her sights on a championship. Winner: Jade Cargill.
AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul prediction
With only six matches since last WrestleMania, Paul is back in the event to face another accomplished star in Styles. The “phenomenal one” hasn’t won a singles match at WrestleMania since 2019, and if there’s any hope for him to make one last push in his career, he needs to take down the viral star. Paul gets another signature win, and hopefully it leads to a more involved 2025. Winner: Logan Paul.
Sin City street fight: Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre prediction
There are plenty of thoughts on this match, but it’s undoubtedly putting two stars that had a fantastic 2024 in the ring. Plus there’s the added layer since Priest stole the World Heavyweight title from McIntyre at last year’s event. For as much as Priest has been pushed toward stardom, it feels like a big year is in store for McIntyre. In a potential match of the weekend, McIntyre doesn’t hold back in a brutal victory. Winner: Drew McIntyre.
World Tag Team Championship match: The War Raiders (c) vs. The New Day prediction
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have been on fire ever since their heel turn, and rightfully are back in the title picture. The War Raiders have had a modest run at champions, but the tag team division could get a real jolt if The New Day win a 13th title. The only other way The War Raiders retain is if Big E returns to cost his old stablemates, but that may be too much wishful thinking. Winner: The New Day.
Women’s Tag Team Championship match: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria prediction
An unexpected challenge awaits the champions in Bayley and Valkyria, which have formed a solid connection heading into WrestleMania. However Morgan and Rodriguez are just too good, and they have a done a real nice job in maintaining some prestige within the division. There’s still plenty of juice left with the champions and they retain while attempting the full takeover of The Judgment Day. Winner: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
United States Championship match: LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu prediction
There are plenty of wrestling fans that have been waiting for Fatu to get the WrestleMania spotlight, and he gets to do it for a championship. For as much as he’s made a good champion, it’s tough seeing LA Knight withstanding the onslaught Fatu will deliver. LA Knight had his WrestleMania moment last year. Now it’s time for Fatu’s. Winner: Jacob Fatu.
Fatal four-way match for Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Penta vs. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio prediction
People wanted a singles Intercontinental title match, but all the challengers deserved a shot. Expect plenty of big moments to happen, whether it’s a vicious Breakker spear or Balor and Mysterio finally clashing, leading to a split of The Judgment Day. A strong case could be made for each star. Why not let the newest signing make his WrestleMania debut with a bang? Winner: Penta.
World Heavyweight Championship match: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso prediction
When this match was first announced, it didn’t feel like Uso could be taken seriously as a challenger. But to his credit, he’s made this match much more intriguing and not as one-sided as it once was. Gunther also deserves praise for how good he’s become outside of being a pure, talented wrestler. There’s plenty of juice for the title bout, but no matter what happens, Uso won’t win with the narratives. He puts up a valiant effort and comes close, but Gunther reigns supreme and stops the “yeet” movement. Winner: Gunther.
Triple threat match for Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley prediction
Putting the title on Sky was such a brilliant idea to get three of the most talented stars in the same match. Belair and Ripley are powerhouses, and given their WrestleMania history, are sure to put on stellar performances. When it’s come to the talking, Sky has been dismissed, but it will be hard to deny her presence when she’s flying all over the place in the ring. It will look like it will come down to Ripley or Belair, only for Sky to come up big at the end and become the star of the weekend. Winner: Iyo Sky.
WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair prediction
The newbie vs. the veteran has gotten pretty spicy, and it’s made this match more intriguing than what it was a few weeks ago. Yes it’s for a title, but this bout serves as a pivotal point in the women’s division: does WWE want a new star to lead, or does it want to put Flair back on the top? Stratton has rightfully risen to be a champion, but it’s hard to see WWE go away from putting the title back on Flair. Winner: Charlotte Flair.
Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins prediction
No title is needed to make this the Saturday main event match. There’s plenty of beef between everyone involved, and expect plenty of mini-plots to unfold during the match, whether it’s Reigns and Paul Heyman, Punk and Rollins’ hatred for each other or Reigns and Rollins unleashing years of frustrations. This may be the toughest match to predict because each one deserves the win, and it’s even tougher figuring out who’s going to be the one to get pinned. The best bet is the “OTC” getting the win and starting the run back to the top of WWE. Winner: Roman Reigns.
Undisputed WWE Championship match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena prediction
What a WWE Championship match we have. Rhodes has done well as the champion for the past year, but Cena is coming for the record 17th title, and proved he’s going to do anything to get it. It’s going to be an electric atmosphere from the moment the entrance music hits for both stars, and it will be intense throughout. While Rhodes and Cena will each put on a clinic, there’s a good chance The Rock plays a role in what happens. He emerges and makes sure Rhodes can’t retain, and Cena breaks the WWE record in his final WrestleMania match. Winner: John Cena.
