Given how far Aussies have to travel when visiting places overseas, it’s little surprise we place such importance on our airline options.
Singapore Airlines has been named the top choice for travellers heading off on holidays. It was crowned International Airline of the Year for 2024 at the annual Roy Morgan Research Customer Satisfaction Awards held in Melbourne.
It was the fifth time the airline has been recognised as the number one choice for customer satisfaction out of all the carriers servicing Australians.

Australian airlines Qantas and REX (Regional Express) received recognition for customer satisfaction at the awards this week.
The Flying Kangaroo was awarded the title of Domestic Business Travel Airline of the Year, while REX won for Domestic & Regional Airline of the Year.
REX was one of five first-time winners in the awards, that cover more than 30 industries, including automotive, banking, supermarket and telecommunications.
Over 60,000 Australians were surveyed from January to December 2024, and rated how satisfied they were with the companies they deal with.
Monthly Customer Satisfaction winners are recorded in each category throughout the year, with the annual award going to the company with the most monthly wins.
Singapore Airlines won all 12 monthly satisfaction awards in 2024 and with an average customer satisfaction of 94.3 percent finished among the most trusted brands in Australia across all 38 categories.
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said Singapore Airlines was “once again head-and-shoulders above the competition”
The airline first won the Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Award as the International Airline of the Year in 2018, followed by 2019 (pre-pandemic), and since the pandemic ended, in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
“In an extremely competitive and hard-fought industry the consistent high performance of Singapore Airlines in delivering unmatched levels of customer satisfaction to travelling Australians is impressive,” Michele said.
